The 51福利社 Writing Lab is a welcoming and inclusive space where students are free to discuss any writing concerns, questions, and inquiries they might have. The center supports all 51福利社 students at any stage of their writing process; for any assignment, deliverables, poster presentations, essays, Capstone projects, and any other research papers they might have. The Writing Lab aims to support all 51福利社 students to articulate their ideas, gain strategies, and strengthen their literacy skills to excel in writing.
The Lab focuses on helping students develop as autonomous, self-motivated and independent writers through a variety of services which include consultations, workshops, seminars and writing activities & competitions.
The 45-minute individual or small group consultations aim to help students at any stage of their writing process to develop their writing and critical thinking skills in English. These sessions, which are for all current students, aim to address the students’ academic and field-specific writing needs, providing them with critical feedback and reflection on any aspect or stage of their papers.
These sessions are specifically designed for Capstone students, to address their direct needs while writing and formatting their research papers according to the latest APA style conventions. In addition, each session focuses on providing students within depth reviews on how to make the most of incorporating citations, using references, and covering fundamental elements of writing a research paper.
The workshops held by the Writing Lab are for all 51福利社 students, allowing the participants to be actively involved in the dynamic and peripheral learning process. The sessions address a variety of topics, offering students the chance to practice certain skills they need to develop or have interest in and gain essential strategies to support them in their writing.
